The following is an accompanying letter to the Mayor and Council on behalf of the 9/11 Studies Club at Portland Community College:
Dear Mayor Hales and Council Members,
Thank you for taking the time to listen to Marvin Sannes’ brief address regarding destruction of World Trade Center 7. Mr. Sannes mentioned some of the costs resulting from the failure to conduct a forensic criminal investigation into the murders on September 11, 2001.
The tragedy of 9/11 was cynically used to ultimately subvert the U.S. Constitution through the Homeland Security Act, the USA Patriot Act and the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act. 9/11 was used to promote widespread prejudice against Arabs and Muslims and the tacit acceptance of unilateral attacks against Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Yemen and Syria. We have killed millions. Using 9/11 for justification, modern American leaders advance their perceived right to violate constitutional law with arrests and abductions absent due process, massive surveillance of all electronic communications of U.S. citizens, and a de facto star chamber calling for extrajudicial assassinations of U.S. citizens.
On a daily basis, the City of Portland endures harsh economic costs while managing the predicament of many people, projects and neighborhoods of this city. All are picking over limited resources subject to the economic scarcity of a war-torn economy. A substantial chunk of these costs are derived from the failure to adequately investigate the crimes of 9/11.
Conservative estimates of a 2013 Harvard Study find economic costs of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq alone to be six trillion dollars. As Mr. Sannes has indicated, it’s much more.
In the near future, we would like to provide additional information and ask that Mayor and Council hold two study sessions to become better acquainted with the information provided by scientists, architects and engineers whose research into the events of 9/11 has led them to call for a new investigation.
Our aim is to obtain a resolution calling for a science-based criminal investigation into the crimes of September 11th, 2001.

Mechanical Engineer Tony Szamboti recalls seeing a History Channel episode that included Larry Silverstein’s use of the term “controlled demolition” when asked about WTC 7. The show’s producer refuses to produce a copy without a subpeona!

This Saturday, the 9/11 Studies Club hosts guest speaker David Chandler at Portland Community College where he will discuss the physical characteristics of controlled demolitions for all three World Trade Center buildings on September 11th, 2001. Chandler (retired high school and community college physics teacher) is a leading 9/11 researcher and has become prominent in the scientific wing of the 9/11 Truth Movement. He is on the board of directors of Scientists for 9/11 Truth and the International Center for 9/11 Studies, and is a former board member of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. He contributed a video measurement and analysis technique that was instrumental in forcing NIST to admit that World Trade Center 7 achieved free fall speed during its collapse. This was significant because collapse rates anywhere near free fall speeds cannot be achieved without explosives removing all load bearing supports at once.
David Chandler’s live speaking engagement will take place on February 21st at 3:00 PM at PCC’s Sylvania campus in Room 108 of the Sciences and Technology building. See map.
